DESCRIPTION:Woodstock\, NY\nOctober 23\, 2024\n4-6 pm \nTodd Rundgren to Receive Key to the Town of Woodstock\nTown Supervisor Bill McKenna will present a key to the town of Woodstock to legendary musician Todd Rundgren on Oct. 23 as part of a celebration of Rundgren’s career\, coinciding with a two-date residency at the historic Bearsville Theater. Times Union Hudson Valley article. \nRundgren’s Spirit of Harmony Foundation will partner with Hungry for Music to conduct a musical instrument drive\, encouraging people to donate used musical instruments that will be refurbished and distributed to children in the Hudson Valley area and around the country. \nFor the drive\, instruments may be dropped off at the Woodstock Town Hall (47 Comeau Drive) or The Woodstock Studios (100 Tinker St.) during normal business hours Oct. 1-23. Donated instruments must be in working condition or repairable. No pianos or full-sized keyboards will be accepted.

Donations are recommended and encouraged. \nHarpists Anna Smith and Brynn Olden\, who together comprise Calypso Harp Duo\, bring harp music into communities on the East Coast. Both members are currently studying harp at Shenandoah Conservatory. Performing concerts and local events\, their vision is to provide accessible ways to enjoy harp music. \n
