Keep Music Alive will celebrate the 6th Annual Teach Music Week from March 16-22 by partnering with over 750 music schools around the world to offer a free lesson or class to new students for children or adults. Music schools and music retail outlets are encouraged to sign up to participate on the Teach Music Week website at www.TeachMusicWeek.org.
There is no fee to participate and all locations will be listed on the website by zip code beginning in mid-February where prospective students can search out music instrument and education resources in their community.

An outdoor art installation dedication event, with live musical performances by the New River JAM Band, bluegrass performer Jim Lloyd, and others, on Saturday, November 7th, 3-6pm. The event will take place outside of the Hungry for Music headquarters at 250 Conicville Road in Mt. Jackson, Virginia, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.
New River JAM Band is the regional performing group of Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM). Many of the performers and JAM students have received instruments thanks to Hungry for Music.
Performer Jim Lloyd is a bluegrass musician, storyteller, and barber who lives, works, and plays in Rural Retreat, Virginia.
All are welcome to this free event celebrating art, music, and civic engagement.
