Back-to-School Family Fun Day

Hungry for Music, along with Louisville Public Media’s Instrumental Partners and Love City, is holding a Back-to-School Family Fun Day at the St. Cecilia campus at 2519 Saint Cecilia St. in Louisville, KY.

The event will offer music on stages at Porkland BBQ, in the historic church sanctuary and in outdoor space shaded by the campus’ mighty oaks. Hungry for Music will hold an instrument drive and instrument petting zoo and Instrumental Partners will add hands-on music-making activities for kids and families.

Community groups, such as Portland Museum, will have booths and there will be lots of play activities (inflatables, face painting), food and snow cones. Youth with the River City Drum Corps and other groups, plus local musicians, will perform and DJ Always (aka River City Drum Corps director Albert Shumake) will spin tunes.
